World's Largest Screen for ultimate Club Night at Manchester Central

Harkness Screens supplied a specially shaped front projection screen 48m wide and 18m high in the centre, for use at Manchester Central (formerly GMEX Centre).

At over 800 square metres, it is the world's largest shaped screen. The Manchester International Festival featured a visual arts event "Industrial Resolution", which matched displays from visual artists with soundscapes from leading DJs. Very high resolution moving images were achieved (more than 8-times HD resolution) by the visual director, Todd Graft of Microchunk.

5 Barco FMCHD 18, 18,000 ansi lumens projectors, supplied by Creative Technology, were used to provide the blended images. Thousands attended this "ultimate club night" on July 6th & 7th.
